Road to Okotoks
Sixteen teams, one championship.
Baseball Canada's national championship is decided at Seaman Stadium in Okotoks, Alberta, in front of scouts and college coaches. Getting there means coming through a regional qualifier first.
What the Road is.
The Road to Okotoks is Baseball Canada's national championship. Teams qualify through three regional tournaments, one each in British Columbia, Alberta and Ontario, and sixteen come out of them.
Those sixteen meet at Seaman Stadium in Okotoks, Alberta, home of the Okotoks Dawgs, and play for the Morneau Cup. It is wood bat and it is best on best. Scouts and college coaches are in the stands, and Baseball Canada's under-18 Junior National Team is watching too.
British Columbia sends four of the sixteen. The BC qualifier is hosted by the Langley Blaze and the White Rock Tritons, close to home. That weekend decides which teams make the trip. Dates, host sites and the full rules are at theroadtookotoks.ca.

The 2026 run.
The Cardinals went 6-1 at the BC qualifier in 2026 and reached the final. They brought home the finalists' trophy, a chrome bat engraved with the words The Road to Okotoks, 2026 Regional Qualifier, Finalists.
They qualified for Okotoks. The Baseball Canada National Championship ran there from July 14 to 19, at Seaman Stadium, and the Cardinals were one of the sixteen.
